St Mary's College, Maryborough is a Catholic community that is welcoming to all students from Year 7 to 12. Originally the school existed on two campuses with the boys educated by the Christian Brothers from 1888 and the girls began with the Josephite sisters in 1870 that were replaced later by the Sisters of Mercy. The College combined in 1979 to produce a coeducational facility.
St Marys has a long and rich history that has contributed and supported education in Maryborough since the town’s beginnings. The College lives in the traditions of their founders and we are an associate member of Edmund Rice Education Australia and there are strong ties to our Sisters of Mercy heritage. The College has pursued its mission to develop young people that are connected to the community and engaged in learning.
Central to our learning is developing students' religious life through participating in our social justice programs. The College has a proud and successful learning and teaching program that has various pathways for all students and this is well supported by our connected pastoral care program.
Our enrolments section has further information about how to become a part of this caring educational community. When a St Mary's student finishes their journey through school, we find they are educated, caring and socially aware people with integrity, knowledge and strong values. It is these attributes that prepares them well for life after school.
