The Arts at St Mary's College provides students with a range of diverse learning pathways, allowing students to develop their creative and artistic skills. Within The Arts, students are guided through the creative process to develop unique, individual creative works through exploration of a variety of different cultures and art movements. The St Mary’s College Arts Curriculum provides for real-life experiences with frequent trips to artistic productions and festivals in Maryborough and Brisbane. Students also engage with industry professionals at the Brolga Theatre to develop their skills in technical theatre for school and community productions.
Senior classes within The Arts are arranged as composites to allow for a wide variety of subject offerings. This also creates opportunities for student leadership as Year 12 students mentor Year 11 students, while developing their own creative skills and deepening their knowledge within The Arts.
