This year I had the absolute pleasure of directing The Addams Family Musical. It was a brilliant show that enabled students to create musical magic on our very own stage, whilst challenging them to create character through action, singing and dance. The performance of this musical will certainly be one to remember fondly.
Our gratitude must go to Mr Tim Chamberlain for his amazing set design and construction. His willing team of painters spent some of their holidays making the set come to life. Many thanks to Assistant Director Mr Jonathan Canning for his support and energy, Jenny Imhoff for her costume creations, with the assistance of Mrs Coral Lynch and Mrs Cathy Evans. Lastly, but certainly not least, Miss Alice Foddy was a great support throughout the entire production and taught everyone how to bunny hop with her dance squad additions.
Musicals are a lot of work, but the benefits of making fantastic friends and creating lifelong memories mean that they are something every student should consider participating in at some point in their school life. Now the big question is – what next?
