St Mary’s College students have achieved above average results in the NAPLAN assessment and are achieving successful outcomes post-graduation. The success of NAPLAN highlights our teaching and learning is preparing students for senior studies and education in a tertiary setting.  Within 12 months of graduating, half of St Mary’s College graduates have commenced a Bachelor Degree, almost one fifth have secured an apprenticeship, traineeship or are completing certification, and between one quarter and one third have secured employment.

In 2014, St Mary’s College Year 9 students achieved average school scores higher than the state average in 100% of the NAPLAN domains.
 

NEXT STEP (Year 12 Graduates)

 In 2014, 68.1% of St Mary’s College Year 12 graduates from 2013 continued in some recognised form of education and training in the year after they left school. The most common study destination was a Bachelor Degree (50.7%) with students attending various universities. The combined Vocational Education and Training (VET) study destinations (i.e. certificates, apprenticeships and traineeships) accounted for 17.4% of graduates and 23.2% of students were employed with many students finding employment through the College Careers Office.
