staff and families, the excellent achievement shown through our NAPLAN results for 2019. St Mary’s College ranked first in Maryborough and second across the Fraser Coast region. Year 7 students have excelled across all areas with above state average results and Year 9 results show a consistent growth from 2017 NAPLAN. This is an indication of the importance our students place on their educational journey. We acknowledge the hard work, care and dedication from the staff and the support from parents and the wider community. 

NAPLAN is only one measure of performance and at St Mary’s College, we instil the values of service, courage and justice. The College offers exceptional academic, cultural and sporting opportunities in a supportive and safe environment. We are proud of our students who positively contribute to our community and the wider society.

We look forward to engaging with NAPLAN online next year, as this new platform should demonstrate a more accurate indication of a student’s ability. Tests will be more engaging for students and are tailored towards each individual.
